India's pride: The world's first six-core microchip!
In September 2008, Intel Corporation introduced the new Intel Xeon Processor 7400 Series, formerly code-named 'Dunnington'. The 7400 Series is the combination of the Penryn microarchitecture and 45nm Hi-k process technology to the Expandable (MP or multi-processor) segment with scaling up to 16 sockets.
